Marketing and advertising your website: My name is Marc and I am a certified Google Advertising strategist, an Internet marketer and a small entrepreneur with my IT support, computer repair, and website design company.
I want to share with you a few points regarding marketing and advertising and how strategies and good business can bring you new clients.
MARKETING AND ADVERTISING DIFFERENCE
Simply put, marketing is an ensemble of strategies and advertising venues while advertising can refer to a single way of promoting your business like distributing flyers for example. Marketing can be about how to:
- Target the right audience;
- Getting to know your clients;
- Collecting feedback to improve your service/products;
- A particular and unique way to offer support;
- Exploring different advertising venues;
- Establishing a price, and many other strategies in terms of client’s needs and their satisfaction.
Advertising is based on your marketing and it involves RISK or better, a CALCULATED risk. The more marketing you do, the more calculated your advertising risks will be.
LEAP OF FAITH
No matter how good your homework is and no matter how promising an advertising method will appear to you, ultimately, you need to be ready, you need to take a leap without looking! If you don’t do that, you will never know what you are missing.
WHAT ADVERTISING VENUES TO CHOOSE
With so many advertising techniques and opportunities, I am sure you know that not all will work for your particular business, but it is all about discovering a few good winners and dropping the losers.
At first, you will have to venture out a bit and lose a bit of money and time and effort but before you know it, you will get rewarded and you will reap the benefits. I say: try them all! See what works for you.
Did you hear of a company that is offering to advertise your service on a billboard? Do it! Did you hear of another service which would promote it in the local radio station? Do it! Do as much as you can but obviously research these service providers beforehand and ensure you are not going to get scammed.
No one can ever guarantee you any results, in fact, when I hear or read something like: “Advertise with us, 100% satisfaction guarantee!” or similar, it is most likely bullcrap.
No one can guarantee you anything. Did you want to run a commercial on TV, on the local channel and you wish to have a ROI guarantee of some sort? Advertising cannot predict the market for you, the demand, the competition, the future and the RESULTS.
You go for it, you do it and if it works, you continue with it. There are no secret formulas, you just have to try and try and try and fail and fail until one day that advertising opportunity works for you.
WHAT DO I ADVISE IN PARTICULAR?
Go where people go. I am not a follower but in marketing and advertising, you need to be one. You need to be where people are so that they can hear and see your brand, your product, and service. The Internet is obviously the best place, Google being the #1 advertising method, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Focus on the big ones.
I CAN’T DO IT, DON’T UNDERSTAND IT, DOES NOT WORK, DON’T HAVE TIME
It’s not for everyone. Marketing and advertising is a science and an art and takes time, and natural talent to master it and succeed at it. You need to be inclined to this sort of thing and if you are not, and/or do not have time, that is when you call someone to help you. I mastered it after many, many years of trial and error at my expense and I can now help YOU if you allow it.

It is like when advertising SEO (search engine optimization) services to a business owner but your own company does not show up on the first page of Google, how hypocritical is that?
You tell me that you can put me on the first page of Google with your SEO strategies but your own very business does not show up on the first 10 pages? =) That would be absurd, right?
Well, I do! I show up on the first page of Google, and I will repeat this: My business shows up on the 1st PAGE OF GOOGLE! I can’t help but showing off a bit, forgive me, I worked really hard at mastering SEO (which is part of my marketing and advertising) and I now deserve to write about it and let others know about it. I can say, there is a great chance I can make your business show up on the first page of Google because my business does.
The same is with advertising and marketing, I can prove and show you that it works for me. At the very least, you know you are dealing with a real strategist and not a quacker.
WHAT TO DO AND SOLUTIONS
First and foremost, you need a website. Not just a website that you pay a few bucks for it and you think to yourself: “I can now make it in the world of the Internet, and will get traffic and customers”, but a professional website and not with a beautiful design but with intelligent website design.
If you think beauty will impress, you are right, but a good impression alone does not lead to taking actions. You need a psychological, intelligent and strategic design that actually brings your visitor to click on a form, add a product to the cart or picking up the phone to schedule an appointment and use your service. That is the MAIN DIFFERENCE.
Once you got that, you can move on to advertising and leading visitors to your site to make good business and succeed. The advertising I offer through Google will be laser targeted to your website and business and these will go hand in hand.
